HI LADIES
September is almost coming to an end and we are fast approaching the dry/harmathan season. Some of us have very dry and chapped lips *ME* and it gets worse during this season, most times our lips even crack and bleed.
A lip balm is always very handy,it moisturises the lips and protects it from external exposure. It is a must have for every lady. The common lip balms we know don't have colours they are just plain on the lips , there are lip balms that give a hint of color on the lips, they are called Tinted Lip balms. These are difficult to find but you can make it yourself.
Yesterday i was less busy so i decided make some tinted lip balms. I figured out two ways to make it
What you need
- Vaseline or clear lip balm
- Lipstain/paint or lipstick
- Spatula
- Empty can with lid
- Bowl
- Add a portion of vaseline /lip balm and lipstain/paint into an empty can
- Mix properly with a spatula, add more lipstain to make the colour intense
- Mix-mix mix mix mix
- Youur tinted lip balm is ready

OR
- Put a portion of vaseline/lip balm into a bowl
- Cut out a portion of lipstick and add it to the vaseline/lip balm
- Heat it in the microwave, please dont heat too much
- Bring it out and mix-mix-mix-mix
- Heat it again
- Pour it into an empty can
- Let it harden for 20 minutes or put it in the fridge
I made two tinted lip balms with the first step[its easier] I use my tinted lip balm whenever i dont have any serious outing and want colour on my lips but you always have to reapply. I also use it as a base for my matte lipsticks.
THANKS FOR CHECKING DARLINGS,
TILL MY NEXT POST
