MAKEUP BASIC - BRONZER AND BLUSH

Hallo Beauties

      Hope your day was good. Today has been a boring day,indoors all through. Im so glad to be back and i promise to finish this series as soon as possible.

     Our last post on makeup basic was on powder , Todays post will be about BRONZER and BLUSH, these two are so unique and come in very handy.


BRONZER: A bronzer is used to tan or contour the face, It darkens the complextion and is ideal for enhancing skin tone. It sometimes has shimmers in it. When choosing a bronzer it is adviced you go two shades darker than your skin tone .

 BLUSH: Blush also called ROUGE is used to add colour to the cheeks so as to provide a more youthful appearance and to emphasize the cheekbones. It gives a healthy glow and adds colour and dimension to the face. 

Finally done with the face, im so sorry it took me this long. I promise il never be away for so long ever again.

Makesure you go to a cosmetic shop and get these basics it will do you a lot of good. WATCH OUT for the next segment 'EYES'

Hello Beautiful Im so sorry for the long absence, I had a lot to sort out, cant start explaining now cos them plenty. I really need your forgiveness i promise never to be away for so long. Im having issues with my blog,trying to sort it out now so i can always bring you the latest news on beauty and fashion. Want to specially thank those that always checked up on me,pageviews kept increasing and i felt good, gave me a reason to come back and continue from where i stopped.God bless you real good. Im now a graduate waiting for nysc,keeping the hustle real, upgrading my makeup skills,living a very quite life at the moment and thanking God for all his kindness. I was nominated for Garden City Fashion Awards in the category of MAKEUP ARTIST OF THE YEAR, voting was not easy sha but i was 3rd on the list Sit back and relax as i take you through my beauty trip.

PICTURES OF 2ND PORT HARCOURT MAKEUP FAIR

HI BEAUTIES Its FRIDAY *dancing. Hope ur enjoying the sun,really not easy but there is nothing we can do about it,if you ask me its better than rain. I was at the fair last weekend and i had lots of fun. Sorry this post is coming late,back to the fair,I met people,made new friends and bought makeup, for the first time in my life as a makeup artist i bought only what i needed and didnt exceed my budget *thumbs up to me. I really dont want to say much,ill let the pictures do the talking. Chill and drink juice cos its a long post,Have fun. I went to the fair without makeup and Dolapo of Belezza faces gave me a new look, I was so in love with my face that it took me time to shower when i got home.

This was the first table i visited and i got most things from her, couldnt help but always run back to Haute Beauty world stand.

Next on the line was MUD

Took a walk to Giftys Daughter Beauty and as usual her stand was well stocked,everything NYX,Black Up makeup boxes,urban decay eyeshadows,ben nye powders,beauty blenders etc if i continue i won't stop. I fell in love immediately.

u My next stop was at Sleek stand, spent time here cos i was confused on what shade of their new lipstain to buy

Finally i went to Kayge cosmetics stand,spent a long time there admiring the lip products and wishing they were 'all' mine. was really pleased because the owner of Kayge cosmetics is from Rivers State, E no easy at all.

HELLO LOVIES Good evening, so sorry I've been away for a long time.A lot has been going on and am preparing for my final exams. Forgive me cos I'll still be away for sometime .And please say a prayer me,I really need it.

Back to the matter.....The 2nd Port Harcourt makeup fair is around the corner *dancing* , I missed the first one and l won't miss this one for anything . The long awaited event holds on the 15th March at the the Xcape center 119 Stadium Road Come loaded cos it's shop till mama calls , All makeup artists and beauty lovers this event is for you.it will be so much fun. MAKEUP BASICS - FACE POWDER

HI CUTIES Happy Sunday,Guess you had an awesome weekend.Our topic today is Face Powder. Powder is a cosmetic to the face to set foundation/makeup after application.it can also be applied throughout the day to minimize shine caused by oily skin.Powder tones the face and gives it an even appearance Powders with sunscreen can also reduce skin damage from sunlight and environmental stress. it comes either as a compact or as loose powder and can be applied with a sponge,brush or powder puff TYPES OF POWDER Powder comes in 2 forms 1) Loose Powder: This gives the best and longlasting finish , it looks natural on the skin and gives it a flawless effect

2) Pressed/Compact Powder : This type of powders are handy and very quick to use.they don't occupy space, ideal for those who are always busy.it is lightweight and gives the face a matte finish. When applying your powder use a brush if you want light to medium coverage,if you want medium to heavy coverage use a foam /sponge Remember to always buy and use powders with SPF , Pick a shade that is same with your skin colour and ask the vendor to test it on your jawline in natural light Thanks for checking. lots of kisses to those that call me for more explanation, your the reason i can't stop posting cos i know you always visit this blog looking for answers to your beauty question GRACIAS? MAKEUP BASIC - FACE- CONCEALER

HI LADIES Welcome to 2014,our topic for today is CONCEALER . I will give a brief definition,its uses and types. A concealer is a flesh toned cosmetic used to cover/mask facial blemishes,dark circles under the eyes;birth marks,tribal marks,spots and large pores. it is similar to foundation but thicker.it makes the skin appear uniform in colour. A concealer is heavily bpigmented it is most times used with a foundation. Concealers are available in a variety of shades,people choose concealers that are one ore two shades lighter than their skin tone because it better hides blemishes and dark under eye circles. TYPES OF CONCEALERS Concealers come in three forms,these different forms of concealers have different formulas with different levels of coverage. 1) Cream Concealer: They come in pots,stick and palletes usually very thick and heavily pigmented.it is applied with fingers or brushes.Mostly used for covering blemishes on the face because of its level of pigmentation, a little goes a long way,it stays longer and blending is the key for cream concealers.

2)Liquid Concealer: Under this category we have tube and wand concealer. these concealers are not as thick as the cream concealers. They are easy to blend and can be used under the eyes. A little goes a long way. 3)Powder concealer: It is usually sheer and comes in mineral form, it is good to cover fine lines and minor skin blemishes.it provides the least amount of coverage because it is light weight. HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hi Dolls Happy New Year, Hope you enjoyed the holiday. Formally i want to apologise for being away for two months...that was too much yes i know,you really have to forgive me. A lot happened in the last two months. my birthday,lots of work,worked backstage for a fashion show and a beauty pageant (makeup no easy sha),weddings, attended a few events and most importantly spent the new year with my family. I want to say a big thanks to you and those that took time to read my posts even when i was away, also to those i worked with last year, you made my work sweet and simple,Thanks to my clients for always keeping me on my feet,on one ocassion i forgot about the pains i felt all over my body after working from 5pm - 3am and jumped out of my bed the next day to make a client look beautiful. Thanks for making me smile. God bless you real good. Yes its 2014 and ill finally go back to school thanks to asuu for giving me extra 4 months. The makeup basics series will start shortly and i promise not to stay away for so long. See you soon, ADIOS
